Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden is the third of the five siblings who were born in La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield was her mother and Thad Harden being in active military service, was the father. The first time she became interested in theater while staying within her home with her relatives in Greece and going to plays in Athens. Harden completed her undergraduate studies in Europe at American universities, and then returned to the US and completed her education at the University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA at NYU. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers' cleverly satirical homage to the 1990 film about gangsters, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden appeared in movies as early as 1986 (in The Imagemaker, a lesser-known film The Imagemaker), she appeared as a seductive woman in the film as her first major role. Harden received praise for her seductive performance as Verna. Harden also played supporting roles. She was in Ava Gardner, a TV biopic of Frank Sinatra.
