Jill Hennessy

Her heritage is mixed, including Irish, Italians, Swedishs, Frenchs, and Ukrainians. Jacqueline is her twin sister, and is an actor. Jill could speak several languages as she grew up. These include Italian, French, and Spanish. At the age of twelve, old, Jill became interested with acting. Her acting career began in Toronto as she was the escort for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her sister. After a course in improv taught by Deb Kimmet, who was a student at Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. The actress relocated back to New York two years later and signed a contract play the role of Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit longest-running drama Law & Order. For the duration of her 3 year stint and beyond, she spent her time working in feature films like RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1994), and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). She was a part of a handful of forgettable films over the following time, but she finally got an acting role in the miniseries uremberg alongside Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York, Exit Wounds and other major productions were to follow. Her first lead role was on Crossing Jordan, the NBC Crime show Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she won the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female character in a drama" to honor her role on the show. In 2000 she married fellow actor Paolo Mastropietro. They have two children.
