Gabriel

Gabriel Salazar Vergara was born on 31 January 1936. Vergara is a scholar of Chilean historian. His country is well-known due to his research in sociology as well as his theories of movement. He played a prominent role in the student demonstrations of the years 2011-12 and 2006. Salazar was born into an economically poor family. He studied sociology, sociology and history at Universidad de Chile. He worked as an assistant to Mario Gongora, a classical historian, as well as Hector Herrera Cajas, a historian. Salazar was the Revolutionary Left Movement member from 1973 to 1973. Salazar was also tortured by the military in Villa Grimaldi that same year. After being released from a prison camp for military in 1976 , he moved into exile within The United Kingdom. In the United Kingdom, he was granted a scholarship for continued studies in University of Hull. He earned a PhD in Economic and Social History from the university in 1984. Following that, he went back to Chile. Salazar was able to make a breakthrough 1985. The year 1985 is relatively not well-known. Salazar's research subjects included workers, peons and kids their huachos[A] along with women. Salazar is one of the founding members of Nueva Historia Social which is an ongoing historical trend. Salazar believes that history is an efficient tool to facilitate actions in society. Salazar said that he is an ally of the left and a critical social historian in an interview.
